Motor Sports Festival 2009
Friday Evening – June 19th
The 9th Annual Decatur Motor Sports Festival was held on Friday June 19th. In
spite of clouds all day and storms in the area in the evening a large number of
display vehicles and enthuiasists visited downtown.
Several food vendors setup shop on Madison Street and provided outstanding food
to those present. Food vendors included: the American Red Cross, Callithumpian
Committee, Those Neighbors, Janet’s Oasis and the Bellmont Cross Country team.
Razz-M-Jazz dance studio provided entertainment for the large crowd at the
intersection of Second and Madison Streets. The students performed for thirty
minutes to the great pleasure of the assembled crowd.
Plaques featuring a picture of the historic Adams County Courthouse were
presented to the top-40 vehicles.
The 2010 Motor Sports Festival will take place on Friday June 18th in Downtown
Decatur.
